Transferring Your Mobile Number (Porting Out)
Q: What is a CID number and why do I need it?
A: If you wish to transfer your current mobile number from us to another mobile provider, you will need a unique identifier called CID (Customer Identification) Code, or sometimes also referred to as PAC (Porting Authorisation Code). This number helps your new provider identify your service accurately and ensures a smooth transfer of your mobile number. It's different from your general account number.
Q: Where can I find my Mobile Porting Account Number (CID/PAC)?
A: We understand it's important to make this process as easy as possible. Please try the following options first:
OPTION 1
Use the numbers from your Customer Account Number on your bill ignoring any letters at the beginning. (e.g., if your account is 'AA123456', use '123456')”.
OPTION2
Generic Code: If the above doesn't work, you can try using the generic code "20093957".
Q: What if neither of the above options works for me?
A: If you've tried both of the above suggestions and are still unable to port your number, please call the FLIP Help Line 1300354788 for further assistance. Our team will be able to retrieve the correct PAN for you.
Q: Will I be charged if I port out my mobile number?
A: Porting your number out of Flip is generally free, however, you should always check with your new provider for any charges they may apply for transferring your number to them.
